Minister Jackson Mthembu Dies From Covid-19

Minister in the Presidency Jackson Mthembu became very well-known to the public as he was the MC for many government media briefings that have been held to cover all aspects of Covid-19.

He was at all time jovial and friendly.  While many Ministers have developed reputations that make them very unpopular, Jackson Mthembu was well liked.

He announced ten days ago that he had tested positive for Covid-19 when he sought medical treatment for abdominal pain. This afternoon President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that Jackson Mthembu had passed away.
