Trump Looks Likely to Contest Election to the Bitter End

"This is a major fraud on our nation. We want the law to you used in a proper manner. We want all voting to stop. We don't want them to find any votes at four in the morning and we want them to stop".

Trump's words were roundly criticised by other Republicans as they were inaccurate and refused to accept the sanctity of the US electoral system. When Trump was referring to voting, what was actually happening was just the counting of votes.

It was expected that the early numbers would show a Trump lead and that as the mail-in and early voting results came in, the results would move more towards Biden.  

We believe we are on track to win this election. We knew because of the unprecedented early vote that it would take a while and that we 

"It ain't over until every ballot is counted". That was the message from challenge Joe Biden as his legal team were on standby to defend any Trump-team legal challenges.

On Wednesday the Trump team were strident in their challenge to the results that the President didn't like. Even before losing, Trump was declaring that he would challenge and demand recounts on any tight races that went against him.

It looks like the final result of the US election could take a few more days before it is determined.
